"In just one month of our partnership with Embracing Equity's Leadership Residency, we've witnessed a profound transformation taking root within the participating organizations. This program is not just about organizational change management; it's about building a brighter future for Early Childhood Education – and building it together. The impact is undeniable, and we're excited to see where this journey takes us."

- Jamie Bonczyk, Program Officer, Greater Twin Cities United Way

Embracing Equity has embarked on a groundbreaking journey, the first of its kind, that has set the stage for a new era of organizational transformation. One funder, the Greater Twin Cities United Way, has sponsored 11 early childhood education organizations (as well as themselves), a total of 31 leaders, to participate in a yearlong leadership development and organizational journey to build a coalition that will impact Early Childhood Education in the state of Minnesota.

MEET THE COHORT

A Collaborative Force for Equitable Early Childhood Education:

Our partnership with Greater Twin Cities United Way, 80 X 3 Initiative, marks a significant milestone in revolutionizing an anti-racist early childhood workforce. Research shows that 80 percent of brain growth happens by age three, and healthy brain growth is highly dependent on having enriching and nurturing experiences. This initiative, 80×3, aims to break the cycle of poverty and ensure all of Minnesota’s community’s littlest learners have a thriving start in their first 1,000 days.

Together, 31 early childhood education leaders are uniting under the banner of change, embodying the spirit of collective action. The focus for this unique partnership is making an impact in the Minneapolis and St. Paul region while focusing on concrete solutions that center trauma-informed early childhood care, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

The Blueprint for Transformation:

At the core of our journey is a customized blueprint that touches every aspect of an organization's infrastructure. Using robust Equity Audit data, individual and group coaching sessions, peer-to-peer mentorship, goal setting and concrete action steps, we guide personal and professional development, foster cultural shifts, and reshape organizational structures and systems.

Our partnership with Greater Twin Cities United Way demonstrates the potential for broader impact in other regions looking to take collective action toward DEI strategies. If you are interested in launching a catalyst opportunity like this one, please schedule a 30 minute meeting with our Chief of Strategy here.
